The NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is recognised by employers and professional organisations around the world.
It is rated at SCQF Level 6 (equivalent to RQF Level 3) and provides eligibility for membership in the following professional bodies:
Module IG1: Management of Health and Safety
Duration: 5 days
Element 1. Why should we manage workplace health and safety
Element 2. How health and safety management systems work and what they look like
Element 3. Managing risk – understanding people and processes
Element 4. Health and safety monitoring and measuring
Module IG2: Risk Assessment (Practical Assignment)
Duration: 5 days

The NEBOSH IGC includes two units of assessment:
IG1 – Management of Health and Safety
IG2 – Risk Assessment
Both units can be re-sat an unlimited number of times within 5 years
Learners may re-sit IG1 to improve their grade
If the re-sit result is lower than the original, the higher grade will be retained
